Do we need to Leave the Focus to The IE , or Can we work on anyother IE while running UI Accessibility Checker.

For better Results .

Thanks in advance

Hello,

Please see my response to the thread “Use acccheck with webpages” (http://acccheck.codeplex.com/Thread/View.aspx?ThreadId=53677).  Briefly, the current version is not suitable for verifying Web pages.

In general, when you verify a piece of UI, you should not perform other operations on the machine (such as using the mouse or the keyboard).  The reason is that different applications respond differently to such conditions, for example by rearranging the MSAA tree, or by adding, removing, or changing accessible objects and properties – all of which may invalidate the results you get from AccChecker.

If you have to verify lots and lots of UIs, I suggest you do some automation which launches a UI, then runs the needed tests on that UI, then launches a second UI, etc. and leave the machine running overnight.  You could use either the APIs, or the console application.

Thanks,

Peter
